Chiropractic Adjustment Lansing MI

Importance of Adjustments

Your entire body is controlled by your brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. When something is interfering with the connection between your brain and your spine, this can result in pain, discomfort, and even illness. When the interference has been taken away, your body can regain its health.

Our Techniques

Chiropractic adjustments paired with spinal rehabilitation (exercise & traction) work together to restore the normal alignment of the spine and improve the body’s innate healing ability. At our office, our licensed chiropractors use an all natural approach. Adjustments are made using either a high velocity, short lever arm thrust or a medical instrument to deliver specifically directed energy. Our doctors are sensitive and open to preferences between these techniques.

What It’s Like

Most times an audible “pop” is heard as gasses (oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide) are released. This is normal and expected. Many of our patients enjoy their adjustments and will experience a relieving sensation.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes. According to the American Chiropractic Association, Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available. Doctors of chiropractic are well trained professionals who provide patients with safe, effective care for a variety of common conditions.

How Long Will I Have To Continue Getting Adjusted?

Each individual has a unique health and goals. That being said, most patients (and we recommend) choose to continue regular chiropractic check-ups even after there has been improvement with their spine. Severe cases require longer healing periods, but as progress is made, visits can become less frequent.

Isn’t some pain normal?

Pain is not normal, regardless of your “pain tolerance.” Problems left unresolved can lead to more serious and expensive issues. Just because something is “common,” does not mean that it is “normal.”

Can I have chiropractic care after back surgery?

Yes. Inform your chiropractor of your previous surgeries and they will come up with a specific care plan to fit your needs.
